Ignorance Might be Part of God’s Plan?

I see the assaults on Israel  and Iran as ignorance inspired by Satan, the prince of lies and the current ruler of the world (God allowing). God’s plan in place, evil empires and ignorant empires move according to God’s plan. Satan thinks he’s in charge and influences the craziness, but the outcome is fixed.

This reading is closer to the Bible’s own map than most geopolitics talk. Yet I do not claim to be an authority on the subject – I’m still learning.

But this I know. Satan is not a metaphor. Jesus calls him the father of lies and a murderer from the beginning. John also calls him “the ruler of this world”—already judged, still permitted to operate until the sentence is executed. Paul calls him “the god of this age” who blinds minds, and “the prince of the power of the air” at work in the sons of disobedience. So ignorance is not morally neutral. It is often a veil. People and cabinets can recite law, history, and “human rights” while the thing actually driving them is a lie about who Israel is, who God is, and what justice is.

Two different kinds of empire can serve the same lie.

Yes, Iran is an “evil empire” in the plain sense: it names the murder of a nation as righteousness, hangs its own people, and treats deception as a religious tool. The West, in the places that have gone cold toward Israel, is often an “ignorance empire”: it still uses the language of peace and law while emptying those words of the October 7 massacre, of covenant history, and of the difference between a state that wants to live and a movement that wants Jews gone. Satan does not need every capital to chant “Death to Israel.” He needs enough darkness that Israel stands alone when the named coalition moves, and enough moral fog that cursing Abraham’s line feels like virtue. America and the democrat party have seemingly joined the chorus.

But scripture never lets Satan have the last authorship. The Assyrian was “the rod of My anger.” Pharaoh was raised up so God’s name would be declared. The rulers who crucified Jesus did what God’s hand and plan had predestined. Ezekiel 38 says God puts hooks in Gog’s jaws. Zechariah says God Himself gathers the nations against Jerusalem – then comes out and fights them. Psalm 2: the nations rage; the One enthroned laughs. Satan thinks he is running a revolt. He is being used as unpaid labor in a story whose ending was written before Persia had a name.

That is why the outcome is fixed without making the present cheap. The lies still kill. The hangings in Tehran are real. The activist mobs in Western streets are real. The growing diplomatic isolation is real. None of that is “just a symbol.” It is the permitted rage of a condemned prince. It is also the stage on which God keeps a people He swore He would not cast off, and on which He will make His name known when the assault finally overplays its hand.

So the right posture is not panic and not sneer. It is sobriety: the world has a liar for a temporary landlord; the landlord is on a lease soon to expire; the owner has already announced eviction. Empires move, they show their ignorance and they do not get to rewrite the last chapter.

My thoughts on Iran, Israel,  and God’s plans, augmented by AI research. This whole AI thing is getting weird. I don’t really care if the messages I conceive and approve are “agumented”. It’s the message  that matters, I’m not looking for any literary award.  Sometimes I write it all by myself, other times AI does a great job,  and sometimes I tweek what it says. Do I have to tell everyone what/who inspired me, that I used a dictionary or a thesaurus?
