How much is your house worth? I’ve asked myself this question since I built mine. I’ve had people tell me $1 million dollars, and just last night, one high-end realtor in the valley told me it’s maybe worth $5.8 million. Wow, I thought! But let’s suppose I think mine might be worth more like $12 million. Mind you, I’m not bragging, but why do I say this? I’m saying it because I wouldn’t trade my house for one in the Hamptons worth $25 million. I have 360-degree views of the mountains, and I’ve built every bit of it to suit myself. It sits a hill where I can see down into Glacier National Park. I have a bull Moose that comes to visit me in June, grizzly bears that mow my lawn in spring, and osprey that put on an air show when the winds blow. We’ve mountain lions, foxes, ermine, wolves, and deer that visit us frequently. It is quiet and peaceful here. We border National Forest on two sides, and we love our neighbors and our community. What price can be put on all this?

But here’s the real reason I’m writing! Suppose I want to get a loan, and when I’m filling out the loan application, it asks me to write down my collateral. Would I put down $1 million or $5.8 or $12 million? Suppose I said $12 million. Would I be lying? Nobody ever knows what their property is worth, until it actually sells, right? It depends on the vision one has for a property when something special is purchased.
Now, suppose the loan officer at the bank agrees to give me good terms on the loan, and he believed my collateral was good enough to back the loan (because that’s his job).
So I get the loan. I do something good with the money, and I pay back the loan in full in a timely fashion.
Then, some hateful liberal decides she wants to ruin my life. She digs into my things my finances, and she thinks my house is only worth 1 million and “she” brings charges against me for fraud. The back was perfectly happy with the deal.
If you haven’t been living under a rock, you know I’m talking about what they’ve done to Donald Trump and his valuation of his Mar-a-Lago.
They are, with this judgment and all the others, doing evil. They are interfering in the election process. Democrat Attorney’s generals are essentially colluding to bring as many charges as they can against Trump, hoping something will stick and derail his life and his presidency.
Maybe in their minds, they think they are doing something good, but in my heart, I know that what they are doing is wrong. It makes me sick! They are playing God, making him pay penance for his sins, but excusing their own. What sins, you ask? How about hatred of ones neighbor, envy, strife, wrath , inventers of evil, covetousness, pride, slandering, conceited, lying, maliciousness, just to name ten mentioned Romans 1. Then there are the forbidden sins. The ones we can not accuse openly. Maybe they are jealous of his wealth? Maybe they hate him because he’s white? That, he has a beautiful, smart wife. How unfair, right? We know they use words like misogyny, homophobic, racist, rapist, and bragadocious, and they think he is generally an offensive human being.
But I think it’s more likely that they hate him, because he’s like me! At the very least, he supports many of the things I believe to be true, good and decent things. You do know I’m an evangelical in a broad sense! Most Democrats literally hate evangelicals. Evangelicals are warriors for Christ, and democrats are warriors for secularism. This is pretty clear! Evangelicals stand in the way of licentious behaviors, killing babies, free speech, biblical marriage, and ultimately progressive power. On things like health care, taxes, infrastructure, unions, etc, we both have varying opinions. In general terms, Democrats are soft on crime, open borders, and believe strongly in some form of marxism and socialism. I believe in personal freedom, controlled borders, good roads, limited government, and punishing evil.
So you see, it’s a darn shame that we all don’t stand up against what they are doing to Trump. But mankind is filled with all manner of unrighteousness. This is why Jesus came. This verdict by the judge in New York proves it. We all need Jesus.
as always, your insight is thoughtful and makes all people think, keep up the good work….
