I’ve been meaning to write this for quite some time. In fact, it’s been on my mind for months. I’ve been trying to describe in my head and to you “the end of the world as we know it.” The complete destruction of society, our political system, and our country. Of course, we all know it’s happening. Rather quickly, too.
Even as I’m building a garage in the middle of nowhere in Montana, I know the demons are hard at work dividing us. It’s not just happening here. It’s happening everywhere. The plug has been pulled, and everything good is spinning down the toilet. I’ll not describe in detail the cultural disasters, the political hypocrisy, and the biblical sins. If you don’t see what I see, don’t worry, you will soon see the consequences. I’m not a prophet, a visionary, or even a genius. I’m just an old guy who has seen a lot of changes, and they are now coming fast and furious.
If you’ve read Gibbon, it is not unusual for nations to fall. It’s pretty much guaranteed. It’s not necessarily the regular folks that make them fall. It’s the powers, the principalities, the rulers of darkness that war against goodness. We live in a fallen world. Regular folks just get sucked into their schemes.
As Christians, we should know better. Politics, although important, can not save us. We must stand strong in the little corners of our world by faith. Here we can and should war against the lies of the evil ones with truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, and the shield of faith. Our voice matters in our community. Let’s not fret either. Our salvation protects our minds from the insensible in an insane world. We can use the scriptures to fight back. Read your bibles and attend church where gifted teachers and preachers dwell. And let’s not forget to humbly fall on our knees with perseverance, praying for all believers, that we might withstand the evil days ahead.
